Drawing Yoga as a former yogi is a real pleasure. I like this kind of scenes because it makes me focus on human bodies in an aesthetic way. I would like to draw more Yoga illustrations more detailed than my previous works.
The more I draw dancers, the more I enter in this mysterious world of gestures and harmony. I drew this one while listening to classical music and at the end of the process I had a thought : there is no humanity without art.
This is a training drawing inspired by one of my recent illustrations, the “Silent poets”. I also tried for the first time the Faber-Castell Pitt soft brushes and I’m quite glad about the result. Actually, brushes do not wet the paper and offer a watercolor like rendering.
